In 2007, I visited Tibet, a region of breathtaking beauty and cultural richness.

At the heart of Lhasa, the capital city of Tibet, stands Potala Palace. This architectural complex served as the former residence of the Dalai Lamas.  With over 1,000 rooms, the palace houses an array of precious relics, murals, statues, and scriptures that reflect the region’s spiritual and cultural traditions.

Yamdrok Lake is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. This natural wonder has a turquoise hue and is surrounded by mountains. According to local legend, the lake has the power to grant wishes and is considered a sacred habitat for a variety of birds and animals.
