Overview of Internet Radio Stations
When I was little, we used to listen to international stations on my father's shortwave radio, a Telefunken Bajazzo. I loved hearing the chimes of Big Ben on the BBC World Service at the top of the hour. And there was always the hunt for the particular channel that a broadcaster was using at a particular time. We used a paper guidebook from Radio Shack to find the right channel.
Today, I listen to many more stations from around the world with greater reliability and audio fidelity on the Internet. Below, are a few of my favorite broadcasters that you can listen to in the United States.
